“I don’t want to rush the process just to keep up with the internet. That was never the purpose of my music,” Roma wrote.
Roma said writing has become an important part of her identity as an artist. She hopes to explore subjects including social issues, nightlife, independence and personal experiences.
Roma also said she wants to give her writing the time and attention it needs before turning it into music. She described her current approach as choosing quality over quantity and said she hopes to create songs that remain meaningful to listeners over time.
Roma acknowledged that her decision may disappoint fans waiting for new releases. She did not provide a timeline for when new music might arrive.
In the meantime, Roma said she plans to share snippets of some of the material she has been working on, giving followers a look at her creative process.
Roma also reassured fans that she has not left music behind.
“Don’t worry, I haven’t disappeared. I’ll be back when I’m ready, with music that feels right to me and that I can genuinely be proud of,” Roma wrote.
Roma closed her statement by thanking fans for their patience and continued support. She said she intends to keep creating at her own pace.
For now, Roma has not confirmed a release date for her next project. She plans to return to releasing music when she feels the work is ready.
